Root canal treatment (also called Endodontics) is a means of saving a tooth that may be damaged by fracture, infection, or decay.
Root canal treatment is revolutionary, as it means we can save your tooth and restore it back to full health with a root canal filling, rather than removing the tooth and leaving a very noticeable gap in your smile.
While there are many misconceptions around root canal treatment, especially root canal pain, a standard procedure overall should feel no different to having an ordinary filling placed.
Here at The Smile Boutique, our root canal specialist treatments are designed with your comfort in mind. We are extremely proud to have a talented in-house Endodontist and root canal specialist who is capable of dealing with even the most complex of root canal procedures and re-root treatments.
We understand how difficult it can be for some people to visit their dental health professionals. That’s why our dental clinic is equipped to provide the most comfortable and pleasant experience for our clients as possible.
For root canal specialist cases that are referred to our Endodontist, a dental microscope will be used to search the anatomy of the root canals. By carefully and thoroughly cleaning these out, we can then tightly seal the root canal. We do this to ensure your chances of re-infection are reduced.
Many patients come to us for root canal treatment through a referral from their regular dentist after showing signs of root canal symptoms. This may be because their case is particularly complex, or their dentist may feel they need to see an Endodontist. Whether you are referred to us by your dentist, or you come to us through other means, we aim to provide you with the highest standard of care possible.
If you have any questions at all, our warm and friendly team will always be on hand to guide and support you through every moment of your time spent with us.

Root canal symptoms include severe tooth pain, extreme sensitivity to hot and cold sensations, as well as swollen gums.
If maintained by regular check ups and good oral health practices, a root canal can last up to ten years.
Experiencing mild pain and discomfort after a root canal procedure is perfectly normal. This pain should subside after two weeks at the most.
The majority of root canal treatments will heal over the course of 2-3 days. Some patients may experience continued mild discomfort for up to two weeks afterwards.
The cost of root canal appointments vary depending on the severity of each case. If you have an questions regarding the cost of root canal procedures or payment plans for a root canal procedure, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
