As we touched on above, cosmetic bonding is a procedure used to help patients improve their smile by closing gaps, filling in chips and correcting tooth discolouration.
Using a thin layer of tooth-coloured composite resin, we’re able to restore the appearance of your teeth, so you can show off your smile for family photos, laugh with friends and chat with colleagues with full confidence.
Cosmetic bonding is the ideal alternative for those who:

Composite bonding remains an ever-popular option to improve smiles the world over thanks to its array of benefits. Here are just some of the reasons why you might opt for cosmetic bonding in Peterborough with The Smile Boutique:
While other dental treatments can soar in price, composite bonding is often adored by patients thanks to the impeccable results it delivers without the premium price point. So you can enjoy a whole new smile without crippling your bank account.
To find out more about how much composite bonding in Peterborough may cost you, speak with a member of the Smile Boutique team today.
Whether you’re dealing with just a small crack, a more noticeable chip, or completely misshapen or misaligned teeth, composite bonding can be used to give your teeth the natural and uniform look you’ve been missing without excessive dental visits or repetitive procedures.
This gives you the results you want in a very short time frame, however your teeth are damaged. Speaking of time…
Tooth damage that’s as significant as the ones described above never used to be an easy fix and would require hours of careful dental treatment and multiple visits to the dentist.
But thanks to composite bonding, you can enjoy the repairs you need in rapid time, usually in just a single session. This makes it one of the most convenient dental treatments on the market today and complements your busy schedule perfectly.
Don’t like needles? No problem. At our dentist in Peterborough, we can perform composite bonding without the need for anaesthetic so if you’re a nervous patient you can avoid the horrible ‘scratch’ sensation of a syringe as well as the awkward numb feeling that lasts for a while afterwards.
Better still, because it’s such a simple procedure, at most you may only experience very slight discomfort which should easily pass in a couple of days.
Typically, cosmetic bonding treatments are carried out in just one dental visit.
Your dentist will begin by picking out a resin colour that best matches the shade of your natural teeth, for the most natural finish.
Then, your tooth (or teeth) will be prepped for treatment, and your dentist will do this by slightly roughening the surface and applying a liquid to help the resin adhere smoothly.
Once the resin has been applied, it will be moulded into shape and hardened with a curing light, before being shaped again and polished to match the rest of your teeth.
The procedure is non-invasive and often requires no anaesthetic. You shouldn’t experience any pain but may suffer some sensitivity during and for a few days post-treatment.

Composite bonding is a quick and affordable solution to fix minor tooth imperfections.
At The Smile Boutique, we can close gaps, smooth chips and hide small areas of discolouration with our cosmetic tooth bonding options.

Posted on Rob Houghton31. March, 2026 Positive experience . I have found the dentist informative and clear in communicating what needs attending to. Receptionists are helpful. The reception area is not an ideal space for patients booking in and rebooking and paying and lacks any level of confidentiality. Some solutions to improve this might include a self check in. Taking incoming calls away from front desk.Posted on Debra Thorpe27. I had a deep clean and an elective tooth extraction done by Saumya with very good results. Keep up the warm and friendly customer care. As friendly, kind and warm-hearted as ever!Posted on Alina Timiras16. January, 2026 It was lovely to see Dr Fathima and her lovely nurse Lisa. Dr Fathima is very calm and she have the patience to explain you the steps that she is doing during your treatment. Both Fathima and Lisa were very calm and nice with my curious and active toddler that start to play with the spitoon. At the end of the visit Fathima and Lisa did "hi five" with my active toddler.I was very happy with the treatment and to be treated again by Fathima.
Composite bonding will last most patients for up to 5 years, but the exact longevity of your composite bonding depends on several different factors:
For composite bonding aftercare advice, get in touch with the experts at our Peterborough dentist and we’d be more than happy to help!
Both composite bonding and porcelain veneers are natural-looking tooth restoration options, but composite bonding, when done right, tends to look a little more natural than the latter.
The tooth-coloured material will fill in any chips or gaps in your teeth and blend in seamlessly with the rest of your teeth – you’ll barely be able to tell it’s there!
If you’re looking for a dentist who can take care of your composite bonding in Peterborough, look no further than The Smile Boutique.

Typical prices for composite bonding range between £140-£360, but the exact price you’ll pay depends on:
Some practices charge more than others do, based on the skill, expertise and experience of their cosmetic dentist. And, of course, the more teeth you decide to get cosmetic bonding on, the more expensive the total will be. Use our finance calculator to see how we can support your dental treatment costs.
At The Smile Boutique, we’re proud to be able to offer some of the most competitive prices for composite bonding in Peterborough.

Absolutely!
Although, we recommend whitening your teeth before you undergo composite bonding treatment.
Once you’ve achieved your desired shade with teeth whitening in Peterborough, we’ll shade-match bonding material to your new, pearly white smile, so that everything looks seamless.
If you whiten your teeth after composite bonding, your natural teeth will become brighter, but the bonding will remain the same shade – which runs the risk of it looking mismatched.
