What is a dental implant?

He also obtained Master in Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics (A special branch of Dentistry that replaces missing teeth with prosthesis) from the Kings College, London in 2005. What does a Dental Implant involve?

Foundation Stage: A simple surgery to place dental implant(s) into your jaw bone.

Construction Stage: Implant(s) placed in foundation stage is/are used to support the dental work after a period of healing (this period normally takes 3 months).

Maintenance Stage: just like any routine dental check up.

How do I know if Implants are right for me?

If you are in good health, whatever your age, as long as you have enough bone to support an implant, you are probably suitable. You will need to see our well-experienced dentist  who will check your general health history and assess your mouth and jaw bone. X-ray and models of your mouth will also be needed. Our implant dentists wilt then discuss the suitability of implant treatment with you and come up with a treatment plan of your specific needs,

Is the treatment painful?

Many patients think that dental implant surgery is a painful and time consuming procedure. To the contrary, the surgery is carried out with an atraumatic technique under sterile condition using specially designed equipment so that the implant(s) is/are placed with precision, accuracy and minimal trauma. The recovery is usually speedy with minimal discomfort.
