On behalf of the team at The Smile Boutique we would like to extend a warm welcome to our practice. Our aim is to provide a happy environment for our patients and our team, dedicated to providing quality dental care, when you visit our practice we will treat you as our guest not as a patient.
Dr Phil Johns — Clinical Director GDC 61563
Hi, I’m Phil the owner of The Smile Boutique. I qualified from Birmingham University in 1986 and have been providing my clients with high quality dentistry for the last 21 years, with my experience and using the latest technologies here at The Smile Boutique I am able to provided my clients with unparalleled dentistry.
My true passion in dentistry has to be ‘Cosmetic Dentistry’, having the ability to be able to transform lives, giving people back the confidence to smile again or to eat comfortably gives me a real sense of worth.
I have been praised by my clients for giving them informed decisions regarding treatment planning and also for my ‘painless injections’ using 21st century technology for administering anaesthetic.
Since my arrival here at The Smile Boutique in April 2008, our practice has been finalists in all three national dentistry awards, actually winning two categories at ‘The Dental Awards’.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and fund raising for the Marie Curie Project.
Cheryl Lawrence — Practice Manager
I have been the Practice Manager since 2001, and have enjoyed transforming our practice into an award winning practice; this has been through a lot of hard work and sheer determination to make visits to our practice a positive and enjoyable experience. I oversee the day to day running of the practice, ensuring everything runs smoothly. In 2007 I was finalist for Practice Manager of the Year, and in 2008 actually won Practice Manager of the Year, it has been such a fantastic experience.
I am extremely proud of my team here at The Smile Boutique, they are a dedicated and caring team who constantly strive to ensure each patient receives the care and attention they truly deserve. Overall myself and my team all work towards the same goal which is to give our patients the very best care possible.
Outside work I am a mum to my son Ashton, and married to Steve. I enjoy eating out, and spending time with friends.
Dr Sandy Mann — Dentist GDC number 82894
Hi my name is Sandy and I am a dental associate at Smile Boutique. I graduated from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ in 2003 and have since regularly attended a variety of postgraduate courses in order to deliver to my patients the best in high quality cosmetic and restorative dentistry.
I enjoy transforming smiles through a variety of restorative (veneers, crowns and bridgework) and orthodontic treatments (6 month smiles, invisalign and inman aligners). I am also able to carry out facial rejuvenation using botox and dermal fillers.
I believe in putting patients at ease by creating a relaxed and comfortable environment. In my spare time I enjoy keeping fit at the gym and enjoy travelling and socialising with friends.
Dr Jaime Peacock — Dentist GDC number 66580
Hello, I’m Jaime Peacock, I qualified from Newcastle University Dental School in 1991. I have been providing the highest standard of dentistry at The Smile Boutique for more than 14 years. I truly care about all my patients.
I combine the latest techniques, experience and a gentle touch to provide exceptional cosmetic and restorative care.
I am married to Alison and have two children, whom I adore.
Lindsey Mash — Referral Co-ordinator
Hi, my name is Lindsey. I’ve been a valuable member of reception for the past 6 years. I enjoy every aspect of working on reception. You may also see me in surgery occasionally, as I also enjoy helping where needed.
I shall be leaving briefly to go on maternity leave but shall be returning next year, to become the referral co-ordinator which I am looking forward to. Outside work I am a mum to my 7 year old son Thomas and I am engaged to Matt
Jackie Milizia — Dental Nurse GDC number 123092
At the age of seventeen I first joined the practice after finishing college as a dental nurse/receptionist. After working here a few years I gained my qualifications as a registered dental nurse. During my years here I got married to Robert back in 1986 and still happily married 22 years later.
In April 2008 I was awarded the title Dental Nurse of the Year 2008 at The Dental Awards in London, which I felt very honoured to have even been nominated for let alone win!
I have worked at this practice for over 30 years now and have had many happy times here and seen many changes especially this year when we had a new principal Dr Phil Johns and I am looking forward to an exciting future here.
During my time here I have always treated our patients as I would like to be treated myself and work as part of the successful team we have at The Smile Boutique.
Melanie Griggs — Dental Nurse GDC number 167431
My name in Melanie Griggs, I joined The Smile Boutique in May 2008 after passing the NEBDN National Certificate in Dental Nursing. Although I have worked as a dental nurse since 2003.
Like the rest of the team here at The Smile Boutique I am very much patient focused and committed to maintaining high levels of care throughout treatments for all the patients we see here at our practice
Angela Roxbury GDC number 3466
I am one of the hygienist at The Smile Boutique and it is my job to look after your oral health, and check that your teeth and gums are healthy. I will also clean your teeth by gentle scraping and using the latest pastes and polishes. I will also offer you advice on how to maintain a good oral hygiene programme at home, including the use of toothbrushes, dental floss and mouthwashes. Prevention is the key to a healthy smile and gums.
Sue Roberts — Dental Therapist GDC number 2291
I qualified as a dental hygienist in 1981 having trained, as a civilian, with the Royal Army Dental Corps. I have always enjoyed updating my skills and knowledge through regular attendance at postgraduate courses and in 2006, following two years part time studying, I gained a Diploma in Dental Therapy from Liverpool University. This has enabled me to carry out a wider range of treatments and provide an enhanced level of care.
My key aim is to provide information and encouragement to all my patients, enabling them to achieve a good level of homecare. I believe that this in conjunction with a high standard of professional care is the most successful way to secure a healthy, attractive smile for life and is an integral part of a holistic approach to our overall health and wellbeing.
Marianne Bates — Dental Nurse GDC number 163536
Hi I’m Marianne; I am a qualified DSA and have been nursing for 13 years. I have recently joined the practice in September 2008. I have a wide range of nursing experience and always give patients high levels of patient care.
I am pleased to say I am enjoying being part of the professional caring team here at The Smile Boutique.
Natalie Hulse — Dental Receptionist
Hi, my name is Nat!!. I started working at The Smile Boutique in Nov 08, myself and Gemma will be your first port of call as you walk through the front doors. A visit to the dentist can be quiet daunting but we will be here to welcome you with a friendly smile and help you with any worries or queries you may have. We are also here to put your mind at ease.
The patient is our priority and we treat everyone as an individual as each person has their own needs and requirements, I am enjoying my time here as part of the team as the atmosphere is a friendly and professional one, but in my spare time I enjoy being with family and training for events such as triathlons and half marathons.

Hello my name is Lesley. I joined The Smile Boutique in 2009; I have been dental nursing for twenty years. I passed the National Examination for Dental Nurses in November 2007. I previously worked with Phil Johns the owner of The Smile Boutique for 18 years. During my time here I have received a warm and friendly welcome from all off the staff. I am committed to maintaining a high standard of care, furthering my knowledge by attending Continuing Professional Development courses. I am very pleased to be part of the friendly, patient focused successful team here at The Smile Boutique.

I’m a dual qualified dental hygienist/therapist qualified from Guy’s Kings & St Thomas’ in 2008. I have been a member of The Smile Boutique Team since May 2009. I will provide you with oral health advice tailored to you and leave your teeth and gums feeling clean and healthy.

We appreciate that many people are anxious about going to their dentist, we try to help this by creating a relaxed, friendly atmosphere to help overcome any fears you may have.
For your comfort we offer complimentary drinks including lattes, herbal teas to help relax, fruit juices, sparkling & still chilled water or perhaps celebrate your new smile with a glass of wine. For Post Treatment we offer scented hot towels for that extra touch, leaving you feeling refreshed and revitalised.
Our dedication towards our clients has been recognised at national level, last year we were finalists in two Dental Awards, Practice Manager of the Year 2007, The Probe Awards, and Best Patient Care and Best Marketing in The Private Dental Awards. All our hard work finally received recognition in April 2008 when The Smile Boutique scooped 2 National Awards, Practice Manager of the Year and also Dental Nurse of the Year, to receive two awards at this level is a great achievement, and rightly so we are extremely proud.
